Nearly a year before the wedding I met this beautiful couple at the wedding of their friend Lindsey and Clay who's wedding I also photographed. Ashley was a bridesmaid and Chris a groomsmen. Even though the couple had just met I could not help but notice their amazing Chemistry they shared so obvious to me that in-spite my better judgement I commented on it. They really seemed like they fit together. When they replied to me ...."Oh no we are not together ....I could not help but reply..."are you sure about that" Nelio even nudged me saying "are you crazy" :0) I told him no they really look like they fit :0) Well 6 months later I get a phone call and guess who is getting married!!!?? Ashley and Chris ....even though they had just met at the dinner rehearsal it was truly a "love at first sight fairytale" :0) How awesome was it to be there when they first met and then be standing there as they were saying their vows to each other it honestly was surreal.

What a beautiful couple and a beautiful wedding I am so so very happy for these two!!!! It's a long post so pull up a chair but I have not blogged in so long as we have been so busy I thought I would make up for it by this beautiful New Years eve wedding as it was the first one of the New Year! There were 100's of Candles all over the place and they all looked amazing. The room was just beautiful! Traci Marini with www.eventfully-yours.com did a great job at helping them bring their vision together as well as florists Joni and Shawna from 2 Sisters Events.

Shannon and her team from Beautiful Music did a great job during the ceremony.

I was standing by Chris when Ashley was coming down the aisle and he gasped when he saw her and said " I just got a little glimpse of what Heaven is going to be like" How sweet was that!!!

Love their Aisle Runner. This is the custom monogram I designed them and Artistic Aisle Runners did a great job at putting it together.

I love the life sized peacock centerpieces they were stunning!

This picture does not give these birdcages justice. I think they stood about 4-5 ft tall. If you compare them to the size of the chairs it will give you a good idea of there grandness. I was contemplating climbing in one to demonstrate the size but knowing Nelio he would have probably locked me in there :0) LOL Can you imagine the guest sitting down greeted by their own private paparazzi :0) LOLOLOL

Love the uplighting that kaleidoscope provided. It really transformed the room.

I always Love the Father daughter dance. I think they both laughed and cried through the whole thing :0)

Party Flavors did an amazing job on Ashley's cake and Yes! it tasted just as good as it looked :0)

Ok for those of you who follow me you know I have a special spot for Grandmas maybe because I am so close to mine. I just love this shot of Ashley and her Grandma breaking it down on the dance-floor! Grandma B is one sweet lady :)

Awe!!! Ashley and Mommy ringing in the New Year!!!

This picture was almost Magical. Everyone thinks it is fake. It was taken right after they walked back down the aisle. As we got to the corridor I noticed the Sun was just setting I grabbed them and ran even all my assistants were looking for me but I knew every second mattered as the light was going down fast.

What I love most about this shot as that it was not take 1 hour after family and formal pictures but yet 1 minute after they were introduced as husband and wife. It is so awesome when you get a chance to steel a few shots of a bride and groom right after they kiss when emotions are still flying. I also love how her veil looks like a heart :0)

The Fireworks were beautiful!!!! Everyone went to the Courtyard right after the cake was cut and all the guests were surprised with a special private firework show that I must say were amazing.

After fireworks the room was transformed into more of a nightclub and DJ Les from soundwave did an amazing job at keeping the momentum the rest of the night!

When the Clock struck midnight fireworks blasted off the sides of the stage it was like something you see in a Brittany Spears concert as Confetti exploded and then fell all over the dance-floor!!! It was fantastic!

Heather and Brandon's Wedding at the Buckridge Plantation in South Carolina

What an awesome wedding and a great time we had photographing this couple and their beautiful Family :0) I loved this venue. You could shoot at this place all day long and not be able to take advantage of everything that it had to offer. Heather and Brandon were married on 9-11. I loved seeing all the groomsmen if their military uniforms and the stories behind how they all served together. The groom actually earned a purple heart by pulling one of his groomsmen out of a truck that had hit a mine and blew up. You do not see such a bond between a groom and his groomsmen everyday like these two shared. I have to admit I cried at the reception during the speeches when the groom presented all of his groomsmen a gift. The bride was stunning we had so much fun and she was the camera as much as it loved her :0) I love a bride that is eccentric and carefree a bride that knows no matter what happens even the RAIN nothing is going to get her down as she is marrying the man of her dreams :0) I wish these two many many many years of Happiness!!!!!!

My Grandparents 55th Wedding Anniversary Shoot at Disney's Boardwalk

So often we don't make time for the older people in our lives the ones that helped influence and mold us into who we are today. The ones whom have always been their for us but somehow now we are to busy for them. Life never stops and you never know when one day you might wake up and the people closest to you that you thought would always be there are gone.

I did not want this to happen with my Grandparents. They are actually my great Aunt and Uncle but since my Mothers Parents were never in my life they kind of adopted me as their own so I refer to them as my Grands.

These two beautiful people have been a rock in my life. I have never heard them say an unkind word to anyone in their lives including each other. They were a role model to everyone they lead by not just words but by example. Their love is one you do not find every day and I do not just say this because they are my grands I say this because after 1,000 weddings I know what true love is and it just does not get more real then this. Destined to be together it was love at first sight. These two soul mates found each other and have been inseparable ever since. You will never see one without the other.

My Grandfather has fought cancer more then once and my Grandmother has had a few close calls as well. As their 55th Anniversary drew near I wondered what to give them. At this stage in their lives it seemed almost silly to get them the cliche anniversary gifts like a vase, serving dish or any other trinkets they are at a point in their lives where they are trying to get rid of things not accumulate more. As I pondered what would be the perfect gift I realized that the physical things probably did not mean much to them anymore and as my Grandma always used to say "You can't take it with you when you Die"

So after a few weeks of pondering I finally had an idea! I would give them an experience a wonderful memorable experience. I thought to myself...how about an all day elaborate photo shoot where I could share my gifts with them. This would not be just any type of shoot It was going to be a real live adventure.

After doing some research and finding out about some of their past experiences together I looked up some of the areas that they had spent time together places that meant something to them and then I put together a Map and schedule that would take them straight down memory lane. Included on this voyage would be the very place they said "I Do" over 55 years ago.

After that was planned the theme and wardrobe had to be taken care of if they were going on a trip down memory lane they had to look the part so a week before the shoot we went on a shopping spree. My Grandmother as modest as she was said she had never done anything like that before. We picked out about 10 outfits but ended up using only two as changing was pretty hard since most of the places we were shooting were on location.

Next step was to get some props and schedule hair and makeup and after that was all done we were ready to shoot. On the Big day I arrived at their House in time to watch the hair and makeup artist finish up on my Grandma. She was glowing and smiling ear to ear. She said she had never felt so beautiful and special in her life she never really wore makeup or a dress that did not go down almost to her ankles as she is very conservative christian woman.

I new my poor Grandpa, 86 years old mind you, was going to have a heart attack when he saw her and you know what he almost did :0). It made the whole shoot fantastic as they just could not keep their eyes off each other :0) As you can see my Grandpas not so bad looking either especially for his age :0)

So are adventure began starting the shoot off with the place they got married right under the tree where they shared some of their first moments together as husband and wife.

I am not going to tell you the rest of the story you are just going to have to watch the slideshow and see for yourself but what I will say is this ...It was literally one of the most important and rewarding photo shoots of my life and I encourage everyone that watches it to make a little special time for the ones you love before they are gone you will certainly be glad you did it I know I am. What a beautiful day it was. Kristian and Emma were an awesome and fun couple to photograph. What a great reception at Disneys Contemporary resort in the Nappa Room... I do not remember when I have laughed so hard as I did at the Best Mans toast . The room was filled with their great friends and caring family but most of all lots and lots of Love. It was a perfect day and I was so happy to be apart of it! Children of the Heart Gallery pictures by Orlando Wedding Photographer Misty Miotto

I was honored to be able to photograph three beautiful children for the Heart Gallery of Orlando last week. Their names are Desmond, Julius and Qunatavius. All three of these boys are available for adoption in Orange County right now. This gallery serves such a great purpose and it serves a great cause. The Galleries main purpose is to shed some light on all of the children that are available for adoption in Orange county and hopefully help these children find forever homes.

Once the images are taken they are blow up and matted and added to the mobile Gallery. The Gallery then goes on tours visiting Hospitals, Museums, Malls and more.

The success of the Gallery has been tremendous and last year aided in the largest amount of adoptions in Orange County History. To find out more just click above and see how you can help.

I would also like to mention that the Heart Gallery now serves many cities and if you are not from Orlando check your city to see if they have a heart gallery near you and if they do not maybe you could aid in getting one started! :0)

Lauren and Joseph were married on July 10th 2010 in Jacksonville, Florida at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. This was the first time I had ever photographed this venue and it was just stunning. I was lucky enough to photograph Joseph's brother last year at Epcot. So I was honored when they called me to photograph Joseph and Lauren's wedding. I loved Lauren's dress and all of the detail in it. I think this is one of the most amazing dress shots I have ever gotten. Her shoes were gorgeous as well. I had so much fun with Lauren, Megan (previous bride) and the rest of her girls we got to shoot some amazing shots around the property. Joe and his gang were so much fun as well I just love how this venue really fit into their character of who they are.

It was such a beautiful day and Joe was one of the most loving and attentive grooms I have ever seen. He did not leave Lauren's side for a moment she may be a little taller the Joe but there is no denying that she is still Joes little princess ! I wish these two many years of Happiness!!!

Can anyone say fun!!!! This is one of those weddings that you wish you were a guest not a photographer :0) Well there was never a dull moment at the wedding thanks to Dj Frank with White Rose Entertainment. The dancefloor was never empty and the Bride and Groom truly danced the night away! What a Happily Ever After fairytale it was ! I hope they did not have a 5am flight out the next day :0)

Amy had a moose tattoo on her foot to remind her of her Grandfather. I thought that was the sweetest thing ever so when I noticed it I immediately told her to switch feet as I really wanted to capture it and in some way, even though it could not bring him back in that moment he could be apart of her wedding pictures as I knew right away by her reply how much he meant to her! Sometimes we have a very special relationship with our Grandparents and I knew this was the case with Amy and her Grandfather :0)

Michelle and Roberts wedding was at the Longwood community center building on June 26th 2010. I have loved this quaint little Victorian building for so long. The bridal room is just beautiful. Michelle and Robert were such a cool couple. Michelle had no problem breaking it down on the dance floor . We were fortunate to have been able to photograph Roberts brothers wedding as well so we felt like family :0) Everyone was so nice and we were honored that they choose us to be apart of their special day!

Heart Gallery of Orlando Event for the Children!

Hey Orlando friends and Artists! I am on the Board Committee for an upcoming event for the Heart Gallery. The Heart Gallery sends out photographers that have volunteered their time to take pictures of the available children that are up for adoption in the community and hopes to capture the child's true spirit in hopes of finding a perfect match. After the images are edited and returned they are printed framed and matted and then go on tour throughout the city. The night before the Big Release there is a pre-release party just for the children. This year it will be a Hollywood theme complete with Red Carpet and a papparazzi. I will also be setting up a over exaggerated fashion studio inside complete with large fans a rockstar music as well as a hair and make up person to do touch ups so the children can play it up like celebrities. This event is really special to the children as they truly hope these images will help depict their true character and find them their forever home and family. We want to make this event special and if anyone knows how they could help contribute to the event or the gift bags for all of the children we would love to hear your ideas and accept and raffle items or donations. We are happy to be partnered with Nickelodeon on some of these items thanks to Kristin Hubbard as well as the Orlando Magic, Wendy's Restaurants, Channel 9 News, Our Dj Rocks as well as many other local businesses and artists. The event will take place on Monday, September 13th 2010 from 3-5pm Their are about 80 children total. Thank you in advance and we look forward to hearing from you!

This beautiful fun couple Meleah and Keith were so excited to get married that nothing was going to stop them from getting married not even the rain. Even when it started pouring on the bridal party at the beginning of the ceremony and they wanted to pull it all inside Meleah said no way I am walking down that aisle right now rain or shine she was going to marry her prince charming :0)

We had so much fun with their bride and groom session these two were so in love that posing was never an issue. Very excited for these two love birds and hope to photograph their family one day as well!

I met this amazing couple last year at another brides wedding. Ironically they were both in the bridal party and met at the wedding. I wish I could tell you how awesome it has been since Melody came along. I feel like I met my soul sister. I have never found anyone that has worked for me that has ever cared, respected or loved your images as much as I do and it shows in all that she does. It's not abnormal for me to get a midnight text from Melody crying her eyes out over your wedding photos. She is more to me then just a designer but she is a great friend. Anytime we need Volunteers for anything that we are doing at the Coalition or for Help-Portrait Melody is always there. I am so happy to see what this year holds for us and that I have such a loving and compassionate team! Chasity's and David's wedding at The Hard Rock Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Her dress was stunning! What a beautiful day for an outside ceremony. Her reception was gorgeous and the cake was flawlessly gorgeous. Every detail was considered and her vision was so lovely! They had so much fun on the dance-floor at the end of the night it was sad to see it end but they went out with a bang as the entire outside was lit up by beautiful sparklers as David whisked his beautiful bride away into the night :0) I had so many favorites that it was hard to choose what to pick here :0)

Well these two have a romantic story. They were engaged on St Patricks Day married on St Patricks day and Had their Vow Renewal on St Patricks day :0) These two are just as in love as the first time they said "I do" even though they are all grown up they are still little kids at heart! I have had the pleasure of photographing them a few times as well as their family over the last few years and I was so happy to be apart of their special day! Shark Attack!!

So we were at the beach at the edge of the water doing a trash the dress session and you will not believe what came up and almost bit us ! That's right a shark!!! Our brave husbands battled with him until he finally gave in!! Did I mention he was only 2 ft long??? lol I would have loved to see them scream like girls running if it was over 4ft !!! LOL I bet they would have left us for shark bait :0) Anyways thank god he was only about 2ft long :0) Check these awesome pics out :0) Ana Maria Island Sandra and Travis's trash the dress session !

Tara and Frank's Fairytale Wedding 4-23-2010

Never a dull moment around these two. Not only an awesome couple but an awesome bridal party as well. These two were so much fun. Tara is a dance instructor so needless to say the reception was awesome. I do not think she sat out one song the entire night . She even reenacted the slum dog millionaire dance with her bridal party guests...I have no idea how they all learned the dance but it looked so cool watching them all.....At first I thought...am I getting old???? ...is this the new electric slide and everyone knows it but me :0) Then I figured it out (with a little help ) :0) These two Rock Band junkies also had a Rock Band set up at the reception that they all jammed out to later that night. It was one surprise after the other. What a fun wedding! I think it's safe to say that everyone lost at-least 5lbs that night working it out on the dance-floor including myself :0)

First I have to say that I absolutely just loved her Pink Rolls Royce!!!!! It was just added to the collection by www.viptg.com and it is my favorite car out there right now :0) Not to mention by my favorite transportation company :0) Anyways Theresa looked radiant when she pulled up in this gorgeous Pink Rolls :0) She was Pretty in Pink! What a classy lady she is to begin with and Mike looked like he was going to have a heart attack the first time he laid eyes on her.:0) lol I smile as I type that because you guys are probably thinking I am exaggerating ...I thought we were going to need a stretcher :0) She is definitely his little princess and he adores her in every way! They had a beautiful reception at the California Grill's Nappa Room which I don't think anyone can deny is one of the best Restaurants in the US. We even got a picture of Theresa at the Contemporary in the same spot that she took her first picture there many many years ago as a child. Her proud father told me about it and we agreed that it would be awesome to get a picture of her in that same spot today many years later after coming full circle and blooming into the beautiful Cinderella Bride that she is today!

Their table placement cards were actually backstage passes :0) I was lucky enough to photograph this couples engagement pics last year as well and it has been really cool getting to know them and share in their special day. Amanda reminds me so much of of me in so many ways she is a firecracker who knows what she wants in life and does what it takes to get it including her man :0) Brian adores her and loves her carpe diem attitude! She is his Sunshine and he is her unconditionally loving and protective best friend and teddy bear! I wish this cute couple many many years of Happiness !!!!

WPPI in Las Vegas!!!

Hey everyone! We just got back from WPPI and it was amazing as usual! We learned so much in such a little bit of time. We had three weddings this weeks so we only got 3 1/2 days in on this wppi trip but we did not sleep so we literally got 6 days out of it :0) Anyways we got some new software very excited about using I will blog about it later and we also spent our last evening doing a shoot for two awesome couples that I approached that also just happened to both be Canadians ironically :0) One couple was there on their 7 year anniversary and an escape from their kids they were such a cute couple to photograph. After 7 years they still could not keep their hands off of each other :0)

I approached Kat and Jason in the lobby area of our hotel and asked them if they wanted to model for us and they said yes! Can't wait to share some of their images. The other couple was Kevin and Lucy they were in vegas on a romantic getaway. Kevin is a helicopter pilot for the military and he met Lucy in Canada they spent 2 years getting to know each other when Kevin was suddenly deployed. They have not let the distance separate them and Kevin surprised her with a romantic getaway in Vegas! What an awesome couple to photograph you could see the passion they had for each other! Cant wait to post some of these awesome MGM vegas pics.

Thanks to everyone who helped us get there we have a busy year ahead of us with lois of awesome news to come so stay tuned!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this :0) So many of you have asked about Help-Portrait and with it being so close to the Holidays and me being in busy season I have not had a chance to Blog about this wonderful event in the great detail that I wanted to until now. This is the longest Blog post I have ever blogged so get a cup of coffee and make yourself comfortable as you are in for a real treat. Hands down this is one of the most amazing events I have ever been apart of in my life. I have done charity shoots for so many different organizations but nothing will probably ever take the place of Help-Portrait-Orlando which took place on 12-12-09 at the Women and Children's shelter.

As many of you already know the Orlando-Help-Portrait group choose to photograph the Homeless Coalition in Orlando. The Coalition has two campuses Michael Hajek along with many other wonderful volunteers choose to photograph the main campus while I choose to organize the women and children's facility . This post will mainly discuss the events at the Women and Children's facility as that is the center I focused my attention .

It would not be fair to share this blog without giving credit to all of the wonderful people that volunteered as this event would not have been possible without there support. After deciding to take on the Women and children's shelter I made a few phone calls and sent out a few emails to several of Orlando's wonderful photographers including Mike Richards, Lauren Richards, Gabe Mastrappa, Stephen Yanni, and last but not least my amazing husband Nelio :0) Whom all without hesitation signed up to take on this wonderful task despite the very short notice and it being on a Saturday so close to Christmas!

We really wanted to do something special for these wonderful single mothers to help boost their self esteem. We knew it could not be easy spending Christmas alone with their children in a homeless shelter. So I made a few more calls one call being to a friend of mine Ana the owner of www.beautespeciale.com whom in my opinion is the best makeup artist on the planet and sure enough as always she was quick to say "let's do it" so she made a few calls to her girls Laine,Stacey,Tania and Carrie and before you know it we had the best makeup team in town signed up to do the makeup of over 100 women and children.

Not long after that a friend of Tania's called named Rob Bay from "Box office Hair" in Winter Park he had heard about the event and wanted to sign up as well. We were also very lucky to have local videographer Dylan Edward Allen sign up who has a ton of experience working on documentaries for various charity events as well as Matt from Dream Catcher Productions. Then just when we thought it could not get any better we had Lori Loftis sign up who is an amazing wardrobe stylist and owns her own company along with her lovely assistant.

So we were almost set and ready to go except for one more thing. I knew that we needed a graphic artist and a good one at that. Someone to not only help download and edit the images but aid in the proofing process with the families as well. The first person I called was my new Art Director Melody Matheny whom I can honestly say this entire event would not have been possible without her countless hours of dedication that she put into it helping edit and proof over 2,000 images and managing a big majority of the correspondence between me my volunteers and my sponsors. (Thank you Melody!)

Last but not least I have to Thank Jeff and Syndi for Volunteering as Mr. and Mrs. Santa you really made this event special in so many ways. The Children just loved you and were so happy that you could come and hand out gifts and listen to their stories. Below is a picture of Mr. and Mrs. Santa with little Allen. Poor Allen has leukemia and several other problems. So after much planning the location was decided and we did a site visit to the women and children's facility and this was the first time I got to meet CJ . He was a bright active young man whom told me he was a sophisticated nine year old (Come to find out he was only 6 :0) lol ). We clicked instantly with each other and by the end of my site visit CJ was my new best friend. He had taken my camera over like most little ones do when they see their images for the first time on the lcd screen and was now photographing me. I had to do some persuasive talking to get my camera back and now my little friend did not want me to leave. He told me that he wanted to wear his spiderman costume for his photo-shoot and wanted to get a picture of himself in mid air. I thought it was a great idea and told him lets do it!

As I was leaving he kept asking me to promise him I would be back so I finally held out my pinky and gave him my pinky promise oath. As I headed down the corridor I could see the doubt in his face I could not help but wonder if he had experienced many let downs in the past as his faith seemed sadly low. Just as I was about to open the exit door I turned back and little CJ held out his pinky to remind me of my promise. I could not help but get choked up but that would not be the last time I felt that way.

A few weeks later I decided to do an orientation before the big event to make sure that we had everyone signed up as it had been my experience in the past that it is always a good idea to create an internal buzz because during the holidays the shelters get flooded with offers and opportunities and I wanted them to have a real god idea of what to expect. I brought a slideshow some snacks and cookies, albums, prints and then I set up two booths. I had 5 volunteers come and help answer questions and go over tips like what to wear and what not to wear ,accessories and so on.

I was so glad I decided to do this as the shelter had only had 5 people sign up so far which just would not do if I was going to have about 25 volunteers show up and no one to photograph or makeover. Luckily by then end of the night the Buzz was loud and clear and nearly every family in the facility was signed up.

I ran into CJ's mom and told her about the spiderman idea and asked her about his costume. She told me that all that was left of CJ's spiderman costume was the faded and tattered bottoms as he had worn it out a long time ago. I felt so bad as I knew that he really wanted to be spiderman so made a note to myself .... -find a spiderman costume :0)

This was also the first time I got to meet Shaquese and Nai the two sisters that I am now sponsoring and you can read more about Shaquese and her sister Nai at the blog I created in order to track her progress at http://shaquesedreams.blogspot.com/ .

They had told me that they just got to the shelter and they were concerned that all they had to wear was the shirts that were on their backs as they had no car and could not carry much on their walk to the shelter. They had just been evicted and locked out of the place they were living as Shaquese had lost her job due to her fight with cancer and her chemo treatments which has kept her in and out of the hospital .

I shared their story with all of my volunteers, friends and family members and in about 24 hours we had over 40 bags of clothing donated for our 12-12-09 HP event!!!!! After the hair the makeup and the wardrobe changes these ladies looked amazing!!!!

The big day was near and there were so many things I wanted to do. I wanted this shoot to not just be about a picture but an experience. I had this great idea to do a princess boutique and do makeovers on not only the moms but the little girls as well. So I gathered up every costume I could find and what I could not find I bought and could you believe in December more then a month after Halloween what I found???? Yep you guessed it a Spiderman costume and it was the last one on the shelf. At that point I looked up at the ceiling inside of Walmart and smiled and said thank you God.... it was one of those twilight moments when everything is just falling into place to easy and you know God has a hand in it :0) Anyways In order to make this an awesome celebrity type fashion shoot for all of my little rockstars I knew it would not be complete with out Hannah Montanna and Taylor Swifts latest cd's to jam out to while they boogied down during there photoshoots and that is exactly what they did ;0)

Not to mention what would the day have been like without a little help from our super hero??? As soon as little CJ saw his present he instantly transformed into his part...he snatched the costume from my hands and went running down the cooridor without one word.... he was in complete stealth mode. Not even a minute later spiderman made his grand entrance!!! Bouncing off the walls spraying his webs everywhere he was ready for duty and before he could bring the house down .........

we took him out to the playground to get his long anticipated shot that he had requested .

After he burned off some fuel outside... spiderman graced us with his presence when he came into to save the beautiful Hannah Montanna during her live concert! She was so greatful that she gave him a kiss on the cheek! Of course spiderman stayed for pictures when the press arrived :0)

Then just as he was about to leap off to save the world his mom showed up you could tell how proud she was of him :0)

In order to impress his proud mother spiderman snatched the camera and started shooting

Who would have know he was pretty shooter and poser after all here is one of my favorite shots he took below :0) As you can see above he was telling me exactly how to pose ;0)

There were so many wonderful moments that we shared with all of the wonderful families. We heard so many stories and witnessed so many tears of joy throughout the day some of the women and children could not help but cry tears of Joy when they looked in the mirror for the first time after getting a makeover or when they saw themselves laughing or smiling with their children in the computer or camera. They even made me cry a few times.

There were also a few times when they would randomly start crying right in the middle of their photo shoots. When I asked them why they were crying they said they could not remember when they felt so special so beautiful so happy so loved. They realized they were capturing a wonderful moment in time that they could freeze forever just a small bit of Joy that they could carry with them to remind them of how truly wonderful they felt. It was a great day and there simply is not enough room to share the 2,247 photos that we took but here are just a few of my favs :0)

Just when we thought we were all done and had just broken everything down (Nearly 8pm at night) we had a last minute arrival..... and of course we could not turn her down so Nelio Maria and Michael (whom had just arrived from his event at the main facility ) all pitched in to get the last shot of the night :0)

Christy and Chris are the dynamic duo :0) These two have so much fun together :0) They are definitely more then just newlyweds they are best friends. Apart from being an absolutely gorgeous couple they are very genuine and sincere to everyone they meet and put a lot of passion into everything they say and do. I can not wait to see how their life unfolds together and hope to one day be photographing their little ones :0)

She has allowed me to share her story and progress with the world as we attempt to help her get back up and stand on her own again. Hello Everyone! Hope you are all having a wonderful Holiday! I just wanted to give you all an update on me as I tend to disappear during the Holidays .

I have shot so many beautiful weddings and engagements in November and December and my team and I are working around the clock to get them all edited and uploaded as fast as possible. In order to maintain the quality we will not be taking on any more engagement and portrait sessions until the second week of January as we are already over booked.

We had several last minute portrait session and engagement sessions as well and I have tried to squeeze them all in as much as possible. On top of that I have been dedicating nearly all of my free time to organizing a Help-Portrait charity shoot for the women and children's homeless coalition which took place this past Saturday and I hope to blog about soon as it was an amazing experience.

I also can not wait to announce a wonderful addition to our team her name is Melody and I am hoping to have her Bio up on our website soon! My little Maci turned 5 as well and I have so many pics to share from her Disney Princess party so stay tuned :0) She was snow white ;0) May all of you have a wonderful Christmas with your families and stay tuned for more this week!

Help Portrait 12-12-09

On 12-12-09 6,500 photographers and volunteers will be participating in a movement world wide.

The Mission is Simple!

1) Find Someone in Need

2) Take Their Picture

3) Print their portrait

4) Deliver their portrait

The Orlando Help Portrait Group has teamed up with the Coalition to provide portraits for over 350 of Orlando's homeless. To date we have about 80 photographers, makeup and hairstylists, graphic designers, videographers, event planners, runners, assistants, greeters and even a Mr. and Mrs. Santa signed up.

This event is going to be so rewarding and not to just the families that will benefit from the free portraits and makeovers but to all those involved. We have met so many families on our site visits and have so many stories we could share but there simply is not enough room here so we will just share a couple.

I visited the shelter a couple of weeks ago and had the privilege of meeting a little boy named ...for privacy reasons we will call him Jacob. Jacob was only 6 but he swore he was 9 years old :0) He was so excited about the shoot he followed me around asking me questions and telling me that he was going to dress up like Batman for his photo shoot cape and all. He had so many questions that I finally gave him my camera and showed him how to use it. This is what usually happens at charity shoots with children involved as it's the easiest way to get them excited. Well he loved it and before you knew it we were his models he got so involved telling us which way to move and how to fluff our hair that I had a hard time getting my camera back :0) . As I was leaving he gave me a big hug he just did not want to let go. He kept saying you promise you are coming back right ??? Why do I have to wait two weeks???? Even though I kept promising him we would I could almost tell at his very young age he had already had his share of let downs.

I looked down at him and held out my pinky and said pinky promise ( something I always do with my daughter :0)) he said again "why do we have to wait so long" I said "to give you enough time to tell all of your friends and get them excited :0) He gave me one last hug and then watched me as I walked down the corridor...when I got to the end I turned back only to see him holding up his pinky to remind me of my promise. I will never forget that face as long as I live and he is just one of many who are looking forward to our visit in less then 5 days.

I also had the privilege of meeting another lady whom had already heard about Help-Portrait and was very excited about getting a makeover and photoshoot. She is probably in her late 40's and she is going for her masters degree right now and the coalition is giving her the opportunity to go after her dream. She grew up in a shelter and never was adopted so she never really had a place to call home. Years later and here she is again but this time picking up the pieces and putting her life back together. Going for her masters degree you would never know that this tall slender well dressed beautiful articulate and well read women was living in a homeless shelter but that just goes to say "You can never judge a book by it's cover"

I think the faces are changing at the homeless shelters there are several people whom have lost their jobs and they do not have families to call their own to reach out to....Some of them single parents with 3 or 4 kids and it cost more for childcare then they could possibly make on their own. I can not tell you how many times I had to lean on my parents after I moved out at the young age of 18 . Or how much my mom helped when both of my little girls were born. I thank god for my family everyday as they have been a constant and unconditional support system in my life. I think sometimes we forget that not everyone has had it that easy. We forget that some people out there really never have had it easy. From broken and abusive families to know family at all. Can you just imagine for 1 minute that you had no one to spend this Christmas with????

Well on Saturday, December 12th we are hoping to spend the holiday with some new friends. Were going to tell some jokes, share some laughs, listen to some stories, take some pictures and most importantly be present 100% completely in the moment by letting these families know we do care and we are here for them.

We are photographing both the main facility located at on 639 W. Central Blvd Orlando, FL 32801 and the women's facility at 107 East Hillcrest St. Orlando, Fl. (32801) . We are still in need of a printer sponsor to donate the printing of 350 5"x7" prints for this great cause. Angles Art and Frame has donated 100 5"x7" custom frames so far.

Tamamm and Ronza's wedding over-flowed with style from the custom fitted tux Tamamm wore to the beautiful, unique and lavish gown that Ronza was modeling accented with beautiful little crystals. I say modeling because that's exactly what Ronza is...a model. She was so fun to work with and did not hesitate at any pose I suggested to her...I could not finish a sentence before she was already in position and that made for an amazing photo shoot with this gorgeous couple. The Hard Rock hotel and Samba Room were excellent choices for this couple as it really fit their sophisticated yet edgy style!

What a beautiful couple. Brook was as beautiful on the inside as she was the out. I could see how excited she was all day. The ceremony was beautiful even when it started to poor down rain a guest ran up with an umbrella and it just happened to be pink so it blended in perfectly with her wedding colors. After the rain ended the sky lit up in several colors and there was a beautiful rainbow. What a perfect day it turned out to be!!!
